Mommy Wrist: getting to the root of it
Hey Mama's, if you’re carrying, feeding, rocking, lifting car seats, pushing strollers, and living in that constant rounded-forward posture… your wrists are working overtime. It’s no surprise so many moms develop that achy, pinchy wrist pain that seems to come out of nowhere.
Pilates Movement Therapist Mandee Louie guides you through a targeted Pilates-based sequence designed to address the real root of “mommy wrist.” Caregiving positions create repetitive loading patterns through the hands, wrists, shoulders, and upper back. Over time, that imbalance builds tension and irritation. Instead of only stretching the wrist itself, we’ll gently unwind the entire chain contributing to the strain.
You’ll move through specific strengthening, mobility, and alignment work to support the wrist from the inside out. We'll restore balance in how you load, lift, and carry throughout your day.
This routine is gentle, effective, and designed to be repeated daily for the best results. You can also use this class (and the bonus on-demand videos) preventatively if you’re in a heavy caregiving season and want to stay ahead of discomfort, or to help keep symptoms from returning once they’ve settled.
Come reset your wrists, find out what's contributing to it and reconnect to supportive movement patterns beyond the source (yes, we'll be moving your shoulders and spine a lot!) and leave with tools you can use every single day. Click below for my FREE 30 minute Mommy Wrist Protocol routine!
