IF YOU HAVE HYPERMOBILITY and you’ve tried everything…

Mandee assists a Pilates student in finding sensory feedback in order to be able to find themselves in space and know whether they’re doing an exercise in the most efficient way.

The challenge with hypermobility is that many of us get stuck in a frustrating cycle: we exercise, get injured or flare up, take time off to recover, become more deconditioned, then try again. only to end up back where we started.

But you’re missing a step.

In Pilates for Hypermobility, we start out with something most programs skip.

First:

We lay the foundation. We’ll teach you to understand your own body and it’s unique patterns of hypermobility. With that information, you’ll build joint control, coordination and stability.

You’ll learn what it REALLY feels like to be doing common exercises correctly: and it usually feels really challenging. Most students say something like: “It’s so easy, but so hard!” Yes, that sounds right ;)

Second:

We build strength and endurance. We integrate the foundations into common Pilates & fitness exercises, and we layer on more complex exercises.

Third:

We add more load, speed and intensity, after the foundations are feeling more natural and you’ve had some time to build.

The problem is……

Most of us start at the second or third step, missing the first and most important part. And then you get injured, take time off to rest, while your body deconditions. And then you go back to ‘Then’ without ever laying the foundation, and the cycle repeats.

Past students have said: “My take-away moving forward really is that I do not need to be doing big movements to make progress/build muscle and stability. The micromovements and just changing weight distribution is going to be super effective. I can tell that I am becoming more aware of my posture, load, and hyperextension during poses (and even just standing).

Honestly, this all aligns perfectly with what I have been working on in PT!:

I’m Mandee, and I’ve worked with hundreds of students with EDS and/or Hypermobility. Pilates for Hypermobility is going on it’s tenth round, and it’s the place I recommend everyone start. Most of my students are referred to me by physical therapists, naturopaths or bodywork providers who have seen great success in their patients with this course.

I know it feels like you’ve already tried everything! I’ve seen it over and over again--this is the missing piece for your movement practice. To get on the waitlist for access to early bird pricing for our next round of PFH, go here and add your info!
